A car had halted by the heap of garbage, and its driver had deposited something before driving away. Intrigued, the group advanced towards the area and found a dog with a wounded hind leg left behind. Clearly frightened, the dog required some gentle coaxing from the neighbors who offered her sustenance and hydration before she would trust them.
The group made efforts to alleviate the dog’s distressing condition without causing any harm, but they were puzzled as to why someone would abandon their pet at a dumpsite. They suspected that the owner was in a hurry and wanted to avoid being caught for abandoning the unfortunate animal.
