This horrible scene shows the heroic Dalmatian that saved its family from a venomous cobra before succumbing to a snake bite.

When Ameen Sharif of Bhubaneswar, Odisha, awoke to the sound of frantic barking, he went outside to find his loyal dog Tyson engaged in a hazardous battle with an Indian cobra.

Ameen and his family were helpless to stop the brave one-and-a-half-year-old Dalmatian from killing the dangerous snake.

However, as the awful movie depicts, the family watched in disbelief as the dog became ill and appeared to be suffering.

Ameen checked Tyson for snake bites out of fear and discovered blood on the left side of the animal’s face.

He called the snake hotline and sent a video of the snake to expert Subhendu Mallik, who identified it as an Indian cobra and advised the family to take the dog to the veterinarian as soon as possible.

Tyson passed away in less than 30 minutes since no veterinarians could be called when the incident occurred at 2 a.m. yesterday.

Amin told Ommcom News, “We saw Tyson fighting with a cobra just a foot from our porch.” The snake bit our cherished pet, and then it died.

We tried calling veterinarians to ask for a Tyson anti-venom dosage, but no one picked up at this hour. Although we were able to save our own lives, we were unable to save his.

“Our family will never forget the canine’s loyalty and heroic sacrifice,” he wrote. It’s unfortunate that there are so many hospitals open around-the-clock for human patients but none with emergency care for animals.

Mr. Mallik continued, “The brave dog saved the family from a terrible situation.” The incident, however, highlights the dearth of veterinary care in Odisha because a dog died there without receiving any care.
