A Nervous Rescue Pup Calms Down in the Sweetest Way – Thanks to an 11-Month-Old Friend
With their never-ending optimism and never-ending supply of joy, dogs offer so lot to help us through bad times in our lives. And every now and then, we get the chance to repay the favor and help them out, says majesticanimals.
As a result, prepare to meet Nora the dog and Archie, an 11-month-old infant. These two have been closest friends since the day they met, and their tale will bring a smile to your face and remind you just how profound a human-dog bond can be.
But first, let’s go through the basics. Nora, you see, didn’t have the easiest of childhoods. In reality, it was exactly the reverse. Nora grew up in an abusive household and has suffered severe emotional scarring as a result. Nora was terrified of practically everything and everyone after years of trauma. Because she was scared, the dog would strike out at everyone who approached her.
“You’re likely to find a pile of kids, cats, and/or dogs sleeping about the home someplace at any time of day,” Archie’s mother, Elizabeth Spence, told the Dodo.
That is, until she met Archie, the infant. Nora accepted the infant the moment they met, and the two became nearly inseparable from then on. Nora was first drawn to the infant because of his easygoing demeanor, and their bond got deeper over time.
“Archie is an extremely laid-back, happy, good-natured baby, and all of the animals, particularly Nora, seem to respond to that,” Spence said. “She comes from a violent family and is terrified of practically everything.” However, not Archie. He is completely adored by her!”
Most likely, the baby offers her a sense of security and safety that Nora needed to overcome her hard challenging past. What a lovely duo!
