Dogs are not only man’s best friend, but they can also be their hero and protector. A loyal dog is being hailed a hero after sacrificing his own life to save his owner from a venomous snake.

At the end of May, a 10-year-old named Kyky sacrificed his own life to save that of his beloved human. When a deadly cobra appeared in the pair’s garden in South Africa, Kyky didn’t hesitate to save his favorite person, despite the danger which sadly cost the brave canine his life only thirty minutes later.

He was growling [ᴀɢɢʀᴇssɪᴠᴇly] and it looked like he was fighting something. Everything happened in a blink of an eye and Dad fell down. He was clueless about what was going on. He then saw Kyky shaking what he thought was the rope in his mouth. But it wasn’t the rope used for tug-of-war…
To his surprise, it was a rattlesnake!

The pet instinct of the canine was present and it saved his human’s life. Chief was there to stop the snake right off the club before it could indeed [ᴀᴛᴛᴀᴄᴋ ] them.

She said: “My family and I buried the dogs in separate graves, but next to each other, in our front garden the day after they [ᴅɪᴇᴅ].

“When we buried them Mariska cried so much that I cried with her. We also said a prayer for the dogs, it was very emotional.”
